The book that I have chosen for analysis is Up from Slavery: An Autobiography written by Booker T. Washington. Washington was an African American and his book is about his life spent as a slave and how he established himself as an educator and later in politics by self improvement and hard work. This book is about the struggles Washington have faced and he stresses on the idea of self improvement, hard work and dignity of labor and also he points out the significance of moving forward in life through helping others. The central character of the book is Washington himself and his struggles of his life support his character.
